View Full Version : Anyone figured out why SEV runs slow

I have a powerfull pc and SEV runs at 20 FPS or so when I open menus and 30-50 outside of menus...IT is OK but... why is it dropping to as low as 20FPS on a powerfull system when the graphics are hardly demanding compared to what they are rendering.. simple 3d objects and 2d sprites.

Anyone figure this out yet?

Try running it w/software emulation for gfx. try running it windowed/fullscreen. It is DX7 so newer OSes are forced to emulate.

Turn off clear type fonts in windows. I know it sounds crazy, but it fixes it.

To disable clear type fonts (or turn them back on) just search for "clear type" in windows (press F1 to search), it should be one of the very first entries.

Yes turning off the cleartype effect actually fixes it.. thanks.

Disabling the ClearType worked for me as well.
