I'm not sure if this has already been mentioned, but I just had a fake/spam e-mail (possibly malicious) from someone pretending to be Steam Support.
The e-mail was set out like a normal Steam Support message, and it featured a link that appeared to direct to a page on the Steam site, but it was actually linking to some dodgy page.
****ZAP****
Also, the person behind this sent the e-mail, so they must have used some kind of custom web application to use it as a fake e-mail address.
So yeah, beware of any fake Steam Support e-mails you may get. They look extremely legit. Just be sure to highlight the URL in the message so you can see what it actually links to, from your browser's status bar.
