I just bought this game for $2 from the steam sale, and was reading that you can start a 21-day trial account, and then immediatly after add your product key, and get the 30-day first month free, on top of the 21 day free trial time, making a total of 51 free days before you have to pay - is this true? Can I do that?
Also, is it Steam that offers the 21 day trial? or is it from the website?
Thanks!
EDIT - after taking a look I see both Steam and the website offer a 14 day trila. Reagardless, can I still get that extra 2 week free play?

Yes you can do that, there are many different trials out there.
I believe the Steam trial is 7days
The trial from the Eve Website is 14days
but if you get a friend who already plays Eve he can give a buddy invite which is a 21day trial.
Also if once you upgrade your trial account to a full account your friend will receieve 30days free also via the buddy programme.
Once you have a Trial account, you can go into steam and you have to start to download the game through steam,Then u can right click on Eve tyrannis in steam and it will come up with the option Game Management or something like that. That will open up a Webpage at eve.com which will offer 2 options, create new accout with steam key or upgrade an existing trial accout with steam key. Select the latter enter your trial account details and bam done.
Once all thats done you can pause your Eve Steam version and then delete it (because personally i use the regualr Eve client from Eve.com to play)
Hope this helps =)
