7 gig update? are you freaking kidding me?

... I wasnt going to play arma 2 tonight, but when I keep pausing download it keeps resuming when I open a game, and pauses when I come back to look at it... I know this because my ping is through the roof and the download is slowly growing.

Although ive been looking forward to this update, I really wish I could CHOOOSE to update, 7.8 gigs is money guys.

I dont like valve, steam or whatever they call themselves after bankruptcy.

Exact same thing happened with the first patch too didn't it? A few days after release and having to download the entire game again.

Steam having terrible patching system is one thing, but steam ignoring users option "do not automatically update this game" and resetting it then auto updating it is much bigger problem.
