To any Aussies: Unmetered download?

Just wondering if anyone has been successful in downloading Arma 2 and the expansion unmetered using Frey's Steam filter or any other program of the same nature.

I'm trying to download it from Gamearena's content servers and it hasnt been working. My guess is they dont have it on there servers and hope they add it soon but like I said was just wonder if anyone else has had success?

I am in the same boat, I have never had issues with the GA Content servers, but these days they don't even seem to exist, nothing I download from steam comes from them. Its always metered traffic.

If I use filters (freys/steamwatch), the downloads never start.

I dropped my plan from 100Gb to 50Gb this month and now OA wants a 6.5Gb update after the 7.5Gb download yesterday? what the hell, I will easily run out of quota this month :(

some other games i was downloading did, but not OA

dont matter though cause i got 80gb left, until 6th, then i get it all back again :)

Ok guys, to all the telstra ppl who want unmetred usage...

This is what i found works, if you start your downloads at about 3am its unmetered, it will take a gig or so but the rest is free, so far in the last week i have 30gig free off steam...

Yes this is hard to do during the week cause of work but it also works on weekends so all good...

Give it a go see if it works for you guys...

Oh just make sure you have you steam download settings to telstra NSW...

i am downloading now from the GA servers ( not OA though some other games )

Really where'd you hear this? If its true thats bs! I use there servers all the time for steam purchases. Bugger :( so its not on GA's servers thanks for the reply's everyone.

I had to up my plan to dl it.

ARMA2 didnt hit GA servers until a few weeks after release, I wouldnt expect any sooner for OA.

Options are either take the hit to your cap or wait a few weeks until the guys at Steam decide to put it on the GameArena servers. GameArena have no say in when/what is put on the GA server.
