I'm looking around on steam stats and this game doesnt sell at all, and nobody seem to play it online.

I'm looking at the top 100 most played game and singularity doesnt even appear in the list.

The multiplayer on this game look fun, even tho is lack dedicated server but its only 12players per game so its not too bad if the host have a good internet connection.

But im wondering why this game is not a top seller and it does not appear on the top 100 most played game ?

Well there's also the huge steam sale going on right now. I'm surprised that they didn't include it but activision needs more money obviously, but oh well. Direct 2 drive has it for $40.

Its not a top seller because Actisuck didnt bother to advertise it. Any casual gamer probably doesnt know the game exists. As for why no one is playing the multiplayer.... The game only went on sale today and the campaign is said to be 10hrs long. So I assume anyone that bought it is getting through the campaign first.

Yes.

Though this game will never have popular multiplayer because its console focused and just flat-out not as good as other shooters more focused on multiplayer.

This is a singleplayer game with tacked-on multiplayer because companies seem to think you need multiplayer to sell an FPS, despite Bioshock, Half-Life and countless examples otherwise.

I played a little of the MP, its kind of interesting. Might give it another look once I am done with the campaign, but for now that is where I am focused.

Takes a while to find a game but once it's going, it'll continue for a while so long as at least 6 people populate the game. Wish the community would be a little larger, this multiplayer seems like it would be very fun once you learn the nuances of each class and begin creating strategies with your teammates. First game I was just confused as hell and got handled easily. About 3 games in I'm passable but not fluent with the gameplay. Quite a bit of depth if you ask me. I wouldn't agree that this is just a thrown together mess to include with a single player game. It's quite fun and polished IMO. It's a shame it will probably die because nobody want's to try anything that doesn't have call and or duty in it's title. But whatevs. You can add friends via in-game menus so hopefully if it's not a large community, we can keep a smallish dedicated one :)

I was interested in the game but wow, the community seems so underwhelming. Ill probably pick it up if it gains popularity - so far not so good

Well i am pleasantly surprised with this game.

I got it from gamesplannet since steam doesn't want my UK money. I was fully expecting the multiplayer to be full of bioshock fail and have no players online.

Infact it finds a FULL game in seconds with a great ping. I am in SE Asia too so i was expecting to have terrible lag with American gamers.

The game runs SO smoothly. Its fantastically optimised and very well put together.

The multiplayer seems to be pretty deep to and there is lots to learn and already there seem to be some pretty good players who have invested the time.

Very pleased with my purchase.

1. How many players online IE average about 50+, 200+ or 20000+ or any other numbers?

2. Is it p2p or dedicated system?

3. Does it have a lobby system so you can pick which room you want to go into (like Bad Company 2) or does it just chuck you into a room like Modern Warfare 2?

4. Do they have bots online to fill up rooms?
cheers

No idea.
There is no player count unfortunately.
All i know is that when chosen quickmatch it plops me into a game almost instantly.

2. Is it p2p or dedicated system?
I am guessing it is P2P. It's using a quickmatch style system. That said i have had no issues with it whatsoever.

3. Does it have a lobby system so you can pick which room you want to go into (like Bad Company 2) or does it just chuck you into a room like Modern Warfare 2?

More like MW2
But it works well.

4. Do they have bots online to fill up rooms?

You have to fill up rooms.
Every time i have played though i have joined a match in progress and then stuck with the same group.

how good is the multiplay, will i get board of it and is it balanced or does one side always win?

How is it tacked on? If it was tacked on it would be Russian soldier vs American soldier with no TMD powers and it would just be deathmatch.

Actually play it, realize the different strategies, how asymmetrical teams make it more tactical based (vs twitch based).

As for no dedicated servers, with 12 players per game it's a non issue and 12 players is just perfect. Keeps things focused with lots of action but it's not too chaotic, you always have a clear idea of what's going on.

Very good if you like something different. If you just want the same old regurgitated crap of CoD games then this isnt' for you.
If you want something more unique and something is more tactical then this is an awesome multiplayer that is very team based.

I've been on both teams and it all comes down to how good each side is at playing the creatures or soldiers.

Games consist of two rounds, each team plays one as creatures and one as soldiers. Very balanced and lots of little nuances like only Impulse TMD power can affect phased zeks, the phase ticks being able to possess enemy soldiers. All of that comes together to make a very fun multiplayer.

Blitzer is fun, love telefragging Radions.

Bruiser is also very good, Zeks a lot of times don't realize you are one and they run up to you in phantom mode expecting an easy kill then you impulse them and they fly back 20 ft and aren't in phantom mode any more then you blast them with your assault rifle.

Sorry for the late response, but if you are still interested then here are my answers:

1.) Im really not sure have many players are online at once. I personally have never have trouble getting in to a game. Since their is no lobby system I took the time to have the matchmaking system enter me into numberous games. I found myself being placed into 5 different lobbies and all of them were full. Remember I was only placed into games that where I will have a decent ping so their were more than five games being played.

2.) I believe p2p. No dedis

3.)Its like the modern warfare2 style, just chucks you into a game. I do not like this system at all, but I believe singularity does a much better job at selecting a lobby for you than modern warfare 2.

4.) No bots

One reason it isn't a top seller is that it is not sold at all in the European Steam Store anymore, meaning quite a lot of customer aren't able to purchase the game even if they wanted.
I was planning on buying it and had put it on my wishlist waiting for the price to get lower, only to notice today that it had been removed from the Store.

It's obvious it will be hard for them to sell a game with so little marketing when they restrict a huge chunk of the PC gaming market from purchasing the game.
