had a story to share, a story of amazing piloting skills, luck, bad luck, and the reason why i love this game so much.

As of 2300:hrs yesterday i joined a Warfare server. We captured city after city and i racked up a pretty sweet ammount of kills. but after quite some time it got tiresome to walk across the hills of Takistan *cough* Pakistan so i decided to spend my hard earned cash on an AH-64 Apache helicopter. Worth every single penny if you use it right, if not.. money down the drain... and now afterwards i might say it was money well spent throwing it down the drain! i noticed the city closest to the helipad had recently been taken over so i thought i'd assist two bradleys moving into the city as i started my engines.

As i start making my pass looking for targets (no contacts on the radar) an enemy soldier with a handheld AA launcher had targeted me and fired, i launch flares and the rocket detonates right behind me wich in turn sliiiightly damage most of my helo (everything turned bright green instead of full green, its normal colour) as i try and get out of dodge thinking it aint worth it i pass over the ridge of a mountain close by and i get targeted by yet another aa battery (this time unknown) another rocket detonates right beside me turning most of my helo dark red(destroyed) and im like, oh my god! its time to bail out! wait... the engine is fine! ill just get back and repair it! I start to turn my precious superexpensive attack helicopter towards the base and my gunner. that's about a meter infront of me, the pilot.. gets hit in the face by a heavy caliber machinegun and dies...

about thirty seconds later im almost at the base, two hinds just incinirates the whole freakin' base except like two buildings. as im trying to land (the tail rotor is beyond any kind of usage, maybe a makeshift grave-cross) another apache dukes it out with the two hinds one goes down right beside my spinning Apache and nosedives through the dirt. The second hind makes another pass at the remaining buildings but they just wont go down. I order a repair truck wich drives as fast as it can at the same time the noises of the dogfighting helo's faint. When the truck finally arives(i had to land about 150meters from the base) and im about to order it to repair my insanely damaged helo... ... ...

-= i get a bluescreen. thats. not. fair. =-

ive never had any problems with arma b4(sure, its bugged, but never any errors or crashes) and this is the first time it went all kamikaze on me!

end of the story tho... i was sitting there with a grin on my face as my computer was booting up slowly nodding my head.. 'What. A. Ride'

to all of you(people on msn read it too) that says 'i never have any problems with my comp':
my comp cost 2100£ and ive never had any problems at all with it... this is the first bluescreen/crash what'ev... thats what made it such an tragic end of the journey!
(i play it on maximum settings with about 6000view distance thingy)
