Man, first up. I strongly dislike coming here for the first time and posting something negative, but i feel i should speak my mind.

when i mean "ported", i mean from the original box of Aliens versus Predator Gold. This version just doesn't seem the same, and there are serveral glaring problems.

There seems to be a split second of delay in the Alien's jumping/pouncing attack. In the original AvP Gold, when i would jump and claw, the move would commence right on the spot and connect with the target i'm trying to destroy. But i can't seem to do that now with this version, sometimes there seems to be a slight delay in that move, and sometimes the move won't even go.

This probably has been mentioned before, but what is with the color changing Humans? They don't glow Red or Green, just Blue. Not a game changing problem, but it annoys me. I just want to play the game the way it was supposed to be, and there is nothing wrong with that.

And the delay problem has a little of the same effect on movement also, and along with the tail.

I play this game to get away from the imbalances of AvP3/AvP2010. I don't want to be greeted with the same lazyness of developers that neglected the console versions of AvP3/2010.

I'am disappointed as this is one of my highly favorite games. );|

I dunno what to tell ya, man. Your claw/tail problems I've never encountered. Are you playing on a laggy server? A few times I've seen the human "auras" change colors depending on distance in the Alien singleplayer game. Aside from that, the only glitches I've seen are related to the netcode. The rest of the game is far more stable and polished than the original and Gold Edition releases.

This is coming from a guy who has been playing the AvP games religiously since their first incarnation over a decade ago. The new in-game server browser is simplistic, but far better than anything we had before. We now have high resolution and widescreen support. All of the past mods (excluding changes to the old source code) and addon maps work perfectly. And the game is easier than ever to modify thanks to modern tech and an updated renderer.

It's ported extremely well, plays flawlessly maxed out on 1920x1200 res for me, stop trolling.

It's just you OP, I have both the retail (for eons) and the Steam version since it was released. The games play identical for me at least.

Really? How is he trolling? He isn't in here screaming and cursing like half the community. Seems to me like he feels he has some legitimate issues. Just because things run fine for you doesn't mean they do for everyone else.
