Deus Ex Shortened Dialogue Glitch

For some reason all my dialogue between characters stops about mid sentence with each character. Alot of the times i cant read it and its making the game near unplayable. Can anyone help?

Wild guess: Try running the game with only one core.

I had this same issue when I forced v-sync off. Turning it back on fixed it for me.
