Pirate Campers

Just got Space Rangers 2 yesterday and played for a few hours but now I'm stuck. Took my first mission to deliver good and now I'm being followed by a pirates 24/7. I could get to most planets in the area and repair..but then a second is camping me now! So now I'm stuck. Now after 3 shots my ship is blown away. No way to repair since I've already used what little money i had to keep my hull intact so cant buy them off.

Only way out is to cheat or Restart the game?

When you are on a planet, hit the "play" button (lower right) a few times, becoause if you don't, no time will pass.
