Why do people camp ?

Believe it or not, i'm actually not crying, this is a serious question. (not talkin bout snipers)

It feels weird honestly, i rarely camp, i've noticed that my score is always better when i rush, i see assault or medic or engineer class players just sitting in sum corner trying to get kills, i'm like you do u just sit there ? you gonna get way more kills running around, dont get me wrong, often you get shot in the back, it's still worth it though with the amount of kills u get, but when u rush ya get plenty kills.

Take Isla Innocentes when attacking for example, my tactic is, get ya kit ready the previous round (even though u have the 10 sec spawn time thingy),spawn, run to the jetski thingy, blast it and drive to A or B, set the bomb, run to the back of their base, and just ♥♥♥♥ every1, that first phase of the map i usually get sumthin like 25-6, exact same thing with Port Valdez n Laguna Presa.

This tactic works even better if u have a squad that plays as a team.

I for example have 470 gold squad pins and 210 ace pins, 611 dogtags, although i dont knife anymore since i have platinum knife, u get plat knife fast with the tactics i mentioned.

My kdr would be so epic if i wasnt such a team player, lol, i'll run halfway across the map to revive my team mates, or give them ammo for that matter.

Ps. As a last resort, if your team isnt advancing (happens a lot,)have 2 or 3 guys throw C4 on the uav then fly it to the object and blow it up.

People who suck at the game and don't want to get killed sit in a corner waiting for people to walk by, so they can have that sensation of, "HAHA. OUT OF AMMO? HERE YA GO!" I keep trying to find some servers that really crack down on campers (excluding snipers), but I have yet to find one.

I've been on a bunch of those kinda servers, but they rarely enforce it.

Why do people jump out of vehicles b4 they blow ?, that's how i get about 40% of my vehicle steals, i always lol when their team asks "Who's the moron who gave them our tank", i go down with the ship so to speak, just so i get to deny them the satisfaction of stealing it, of course everynow and then u have time to jump out b4 it really blows up, not just jump out becuz of low vehicle health.

Really all he's doing is surviving for a couple more seconds before everyone who was attacking the tank is now attacking the idiot jumping out. If your tank is about to die, I wonder how many people are attacking the tank? Maybe a lot. So let's jump out. I'm sure I'll survive!

Because sometimes camping is a better option than rushing in and getting your head blown off. For example, sacrificing your K/D ratio by being the designated spawn portal so that your teammates can keep sustained pressure on the obj.

I'll jump out of a doomed tank, just on the off chance i might find some cover and continue the attack. Although, i always carry c4 to finish of the tank - just in case.

Indeed, camping can be very useful in such a game with the specialized spawn mechanic. And on defence it is even more useful. The trick is knowing when to do it and not to do it (hint: no-one is attacking the m-com you are camping by to defend at all, whereas the other is being pummeled, in that case stop camping and move to support the team - preferably on the flank).

for defence you are going to be more or less camping, although generally in an area

bad wookies will always camp, because they are bad

and there will always be plenty of people camping when they have guns like the CG or AN94 because they can lock down entire areas with minimal effort

sometimes camping is useful for a brief time, say you are attacking an MCOM and need to stop for healing, or to get squadmates spawned but really it depends on tactics

This is not CoD or MW, "camping" or as I call it "staying alive" in Battlefield games is a legit tactic.
When your in a game with various vehical weaponry, that your kit is powerless against, hiding around a corner is sometimes the only option.
Of course someone sitting around a corner waiting for kills is a ♥♥♥♥♥, but if I'm doing it I'm reloading or low on health.
I don't beleive "camping" is even possible in a Battlefield game

There's a fine line between camping and staying in cover to take out enemy forces you have spotted. The 2 get mixed up quite a lot.

A lot of people camp because they're too new to the game still. Some camp because they think it's a K/D ratio game where a team wins when they reach the kill cap. Camping does not work well in BC2, well at least not against me. I have killed groups of 3-5 people many times because they all bunch up and want to camp an area. For that I solve the problem with C4 and the Charlie G.

Most expect camping to work since it works in Counterstrike and the Modern Warfare series but it's actually quite the opposite. When you camp you become a sitting target, and when you become a sitting target you will cry "stop using the Gustav NOOB!" But apparently DICE made the learning curve of this game too high for people. Sometimes I wonder if some of these people playing have been dropped on their head as a baby one too many times.

But I love it when noobs camp, it makes my job 10x easier as I don't have to go into a fire fight with 5 noobs against me. I just go C4 the buildings they're hiding in and the problem solves itself. When there is no cover for you to camp in then you die. But I highly encourage all the noobs to continue doing what they do best by being professional campers.

Camping is an excellent tactic. I used to one of those people who was totally against camping calling people noobs and stuff. But I was the scrub who had a go at people.

Camping is effective. It frustrates people into making mistakes. If I'm the one still alive and putting myself in advantageous positions then what I am doing it perfectly justifiable.

If I'm properly camping an area and changing positions, and keep ahead of the enemy, then quite frankly, they are bad.

I really dont care about campers, there just fine in my eyes. If im on a team full of campers, their usually losing, so i just switch or leave the server, not that hard. Also, the whole blow up buildings thing sorta defeats the purpose of camping.

You see, the difference between most campers and good players, is that good players can do everything campers do, often better. Where as campers are unable to do the things good players do, and usually since they are unwilling to learn, they stick to camping.

I know a good server called as real life: Irak.
No cheaters, lag, graphics are epic and you can actually die even from one shot.

I was ona server lastnight where two idiots were base ♥♥♥♥♥♥ every game, so instead of going assault? Yep, I switched to recon, and I sat there for a second watching the morons and unbeknown to them, and when they thought nobody was gonna spawn I waited for them to go back around that corner- you know the one, and I went all the way around the other and while they were crouched knifed one, and Saiga'd the other. So yeah, I camped. If I hadn't we would've been decimated, and these punks were ruining the game.

Later the Admin came on (I'm pretty sure he was the Admin) and he was Level 50, and wow could he fly a Helo, and he took that thong up, circled them, and owned, and re-owned and owened them again. After they rage quit we got a nice message that they were gone and won't be back.

I know you guys have seen that story. When you see base ♥♥♥♥, destroy those fools. They ruin good games and cheapen the victory for those who really are good on the Team.
