After todays update the data "steam/steamapps/%user%/day of defeat source/bin/valve_quicktime.dll" is reported by Avira Antivir (freeav) as the trojan TR/ATRAPS.Gen2.
uploading the data to virustotal showed up that 4/40 Scanners they use also report it as virus/trojan. Here is the link to the result:

does anyone know more about it? since more than one scanner alarms, I'm quite unsure.....

Yeah.
I get this too with Avira Premium Security Suite. The guard keeps detecting TR/ATRAPS.Gen2 trojans whenever I run Valve games like DOD: S or TF2.
In a TF2 thread it was confirmed by a moderator to be a false positive though. So nothing to worry about.
Here's two threads where "eram", a volunteer moderator, confirms it as a false positive:

http://virusscan.jotti.org/en/scanresult/1558c68fc564a41e1614b2f9b7660838d9184536 that's funny, same md5, same filesize, no detection
the dll even has a verisign signature by valve, so of course it's false
even if you find several scanners are alarming, you still need to make sure they're not just saying 'generic', & that they're 'good' ones (antivir, avast, avg, bitdefender, f-secure, kaspersky, nod32)

I'd suggest you to switch to a less paranoid AV solution. Avira is quite known for false positives.

Avira is terrible for false positives, whats the point of having a AV if every few days u have to decide whats a virus and whats not. it defeats the purpose of having an AV.
if u like free move to avast or avg.

I had alot of false-positives with AVG too. And you forgot to mention MSE as an alternative ;)

I will continue to use Antivir thank you very much.
The false positive is gone, it doesn't come up anymore.
