What is the order of the series?

I'm pretty sure Pitch Black is first, but does the second movie or the video game come second in the series?

Ok, here is my best advice... do NOT try to figure out how Dark Athena leads into Pitch Black or you will not sleep... Butcher Bay works out perfectly, but then Dark Athena fudges everything up... Also, apparently, there is a new movie in the works, or so I heard... Hopefully it explains this...

well in the director's cut edition of butcher bay, in the intro/ending you can see riddick in the same cave where he is living in the beggining of the Chronicles of Riddick (2nd movie), so Butcher bay (and dark athena) is a flashback that he is having, so anything could happen between dark athena and pitch black , and thats cool because they have space in the story timeline to make more games / movies :)

There are some books, but I dont know about these :(Yeah, that's the order of the events. There is an online comic called Slam City (http://www.pitchblack.com/blackbox/SlamOnline.html), it takes place before Butcher Bay and originally explained the origin of his eye shine, but that part got retconned out of the storyline due to Butcher Bay. I would imagine that during the production of Dark Athena, that they were planning on making another game that would lead toward Pitch Black. Also, unless they got canceled, they are supposed to be working on two more movies to follow Chronicles of Riddick.
