Unable to change texture quality

I just got The Witcher EE on Steam. I am able to run the game fine on high, however when I try to change the quality of the textures from low, the slider reads -1.#ind, and when I exit the options and come back the quality is back to low. Any tips on how I can fix this problem and get decent looking textures?

I am using an Asus N64Jv laptop running Windows 7 64 bit.

I also need to use -dontForceMinReqs.
