Do Mac Counter-Strike Source players can play with Windows CSS players?

If Mac can play with Windows then how do you enforce a Level playing field?

For example.

Does the Mac version has VAC?

If so, is VAC on Mac updated regulary? Can it find new hacks that are unique to Mac?

Im just guessing here, but i do think that they can play together.

And of course VAC works for mac and the hacks unique to mac...

It is cross platform since day 1, as with TF2.
