no it's the same 10 year old game, just with a lower average skill and worse registry

it's still really good, if you have a good enough machine (the requirements aren't that high), you won't notice the bugs as much, and registry...well...you have your "wtf moments" in all games, they just happen more often here. source is much faster paced than 1.3, though, so it can be awesome if you want to shoot people, but don't want to wait for everyone else to die or the bomb to be diffused ;)

DoD:S is a fantastic game, but it does have some issues. There are quite a few things changed from DoD but the core gameplay remains the same.

The game still has around 5k people playing per day, which is plenty to find a good low ping server (I usually play in packed servers where I get 40 ping).
