DVD And steam SWKOFTOR????

i have this game on DVD there you get 5 star wars game and when i put in insside the dvd i can install the game and when i start too play the game the game frezze i did see that steam has it on vista too the same game did buy it and it work but why cant i get it workin when i use a dvd???

Did you install the patches for your retail copy? I believe 1.0.3 was the last patch.

i did also copy a dll file from KOTOR 2 also

You might try downloading ImageCFG (http://www.robpol86.com/index.php/ImageCFG) and force the game to run on one core. Be sure to make a backup of your primary executable, first. This program *WILL* make permanent modifications to the executable, and does *NOT* make a backup, first.

i have not used that program before. Is that program hard to use? and i have done so it also played in one core not 4 that i have. It did not help me.
If i download this program will it do the same as i did. make the game play in 1 core? and it will let me play the game?

So if you own the Steam version and it works, why are you trying to get the DVD version running? The DVD version doesn't have anything different from the Steam version.

Your posts barely qualify as English though, so perhaps I'm misunderstanding and you didn't actually buy the Steam version.

Use the Steam version (its already patched) and sell your dvd copy on ebay.

i am not soo goon in english sorry about that i have the star wars the best of pc that have 5 game inside and i did have the KOTOR. that i did lose soo i did buy this insted when i did have the xp not vista.

When i did get vista i did have problem too play this game and i did see that steam as done soo you can play it on vista as well.
