As rightful old faith after taking my first stronghold when and in what order do you attack or invade christian territory, at what point do you make your Wales pact? Do you wait to take Wales before going after christians? What christian territories do you need to have conquered, if any, before samhain or the Wales pact? Every path I've taken so far leads into more than I can handle at a time. Soooo tired of retracing steps and fighting same battles over and over.

Whatever you do, do it slowly. Patience is your best-friend. Work through one 'mission', then rebuild, then start the next mission. Apart from a few time-based triggers, most of the enemies' actions happen after you initiate a core mission.
As for the order, I used two large armies and one smaller one. The small army dealt with pop-up missions affecting my territories. The other two armies protected/assaulted east and west, respectively. Samhain's forces need to be kept low, but they were more annoying than actually disruptive. All in all, I pressed for a country every other year or so, and only attacked the Samhain stronghold after taking everything south of the tree line.

When you conquer your 2nd stronghold Samhain armies start to appear. I don't know if this also triggers when Wales joins you, but it always happens after the next winter when you conquer 2nd Stronghold. If you cannot prepare yourself till then, everything else gets messed up (I have a super-moving hero with 90ish movement points, and a superior army, so I can do MANY things at the same turn). I don't know if rebellions also appear on Wales (playing Tyrant-Christian, conquered London, allied with Saxons), but when Saxons joins you, rebellions appear aswell.
It was my fault though, I did many things at the same turn. Although, can't continue that save right now, in battle, I CTD unfortunately. Hoping that they'll fix more CTD issues with the next patch.
