This reminds me of back in the HL and HL2 age when Valve made soley for the PC, and loved us like we were the only person in the world.
Now of course when the 360 came in for games like L4D and L4D2 it was kind of like our parents adopted a brother we were neutral for, and the parents had to abide to both our needs.
Now, Valve still cared for us but they also had to care for the 360 too, and abide to Microsoft's patching and DLC restrictions.
Now I love everything Valve makes, but look at this game. We have a free game that looks amazing that will most likely get supported and fixed for bugs, no charge at all.
Microsoft would never allow a free game. To make the game Valve would probably had to delay the release date. To patch the game or add new content it would take longer because Valve has to make sure Microsoft would be ok with it on the 360.
Now I don't mean to start a console war or arguement, but this just reminds me of what made me love Valve in the first place. The free content, the care for the community, and pure love for us PC guys!
