i try to run from the steam menu and i get nothing, my player icon changes to in game then goes right back to nothing.

When i try to run from the game folder i get this warning message.

"BLTD.exe - Entry Point Not Found. The procedure entry point D3DXDDisassembleshader could not be located in the dynamic link library d3dx9_41.dll"

This is happening to about 5 games i've paid for.....

Try updating your Direct X. It might not be doing it automatically for your installs from Steam. What system are you running and what kind of graphics card do you have?

Update your DirectX is the soltion downlod it from Microsoft download. (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=2da43d38-db71-4c1b-bc6a-9b6652cd92a3) Be sure to have the latest drivers anyway.

Something messed up with your DX files. Did the games ever worked on your pc?

My copy of borderlands did, then i uninstalled it and went back to play about 3 months ago and it woulden't work. So far i bought the scourge project, ArmA 2 and the new expansion and now blacklight and none of the worked at all.

You may try a system rollback to 3 months ago and then update your DX again.

If it fails and you are not a "computer geek" just format and reinstall windows. You installed some program messing up with your files and, after resinatlling DX, you are still having the problem... there are not so many solutions.

IMO, before formatting, give a shot to the oldest restore point you have. Installing Windows 7 is fast anyway.
