Hi everyone,

I'm currently interested in getting experience with the various UnrealEditor versions (from the UT 98 version to UT3). While I can find UT3 tutorials quite easily, I'm having trouble finding UnrealEd 2 tutorials (the UT 98 version).

Looking in Google didn't help much.

If anyone can point me towards beginner level tutorials, it will be much appreciated.

On a unrelated note, is it worth mapping for any of the Unreal games? Is the community active enough that I can release it and get noticed?

You might try 3DBuzz (http://www.3dbuzz.com/) (Requires free registration).
I found the videos there quite helpful for learning 3DS Max and Maya back in the day. It's changed quite a bit since, but it all seems to still be there.
They have an Unreal category which covers a lot of content for the Unreal Engine.

Can't really provide any insight into how active the modding community is now. I never really got into UT3 mods. The modding community was very active for Unreal Tournament 2004 though. Killing Floor, Red Orchestra and Alien Swarm all started as UT2K4 mods and primarily motivated by the 'Make Something Unreal' competitions.
