I have been a gamer since about 1995 when I was 7 playing games on my windows 3.1 machine, in 98 I got the game of half-life. I have been a big supporter of other game companies, gearbox, sierra, blizzard (excluding WoW), and a lot others. Not once have I seen a big named game company who has a huge following treat its followers to so many perks as valve does. Steam it's self is a great application used for free and sure it brings them profits but its a nice give/take situation that I am happy with. Of course this is a great marketing strat. to release an overhead game and see if people like it but they could do that without releasing this game to the public for free. they could just take polls, or even hire some guys at wa min wage (8.55 [i live next to them]) and get professional opinions of the game for free/cheap. so thank you.

Valve's butt deserves to be kissed until the muscle becomes numb they really deserve it.

Valve =/= Alien Swarm team

Has the info says, Valve bought the original team of the mod, and they worked in the game in between other work projects(L4D, portal 2).

The credit goes to the original team, because they didn't forgot their original masterpiece, and remade it better thanks to Valve resources(Source,Steam,etc).

Well Valve's supporting it, and the original developers are a part of Valve now, so I consider them Valve.
