Can I get a US person to gift this to me?

This game is not available in EU or AU... I think it is only out for the US... but a US steam user can gift it and direct 2 drive is selling to everyone...

Dose this mean that if I get a US mate to gift it to me there is no downside? What about the D2D version? What is the difference or should I just wait for a steam release for Australia

well im from the EU and it's here... with a big advertisement on the front page and pop-up from Steam

its gfwl so it doesnt matter at all. im i europe but i actually got it from gfwl.com because the offer the game in my currency (death to the european union, bring forth the guillotines) so it was a no brainer for me.

Don't wait for a Steam release, it will likely never come.
The game wasn't rated in Australia.

As for the D2D and gifting questions, I don't really know the answer to those.
