View Full Version : What is it with games that don't allow you to join midgame?

I just don't understand the reasoning behind these decisions. It's what I hated about Lost Planet. I'd be playing a game, then I notice a friend comes online, but I can't invite him because you can only do that in the lobby. Sigh...it's small stuff like this that literally destroys a game's multiplayer community.

I agree with you.

There are some game-modes where this would cause imbalance (like Bomb-Planting/Diffusing modes), but deathmatch, team-deathmatch, why the hell not?

The lack of dedicated servers does not excuse the lack of "join-in-progress", I am afraid. It's just as possible using P2P as it is with dedicated servers.

p2p and join-in-progress arent related at all.
and what does gfwl have to do with it all?

are you just repeating what other people are whining about without even thinking about it?.. nice. way to look like a dummy.
