I'm playing alien swarm for the fun. This game is probably going to be my next major game to obliterate since there's really nothing that gets released that interests me over the summer. Plus, I need a break from tf2 and some time for my item drops to accumulate and this should hold my friends and I over for a week or so.

Well, I know you didn't ask me, but there is absolutely no solid evidence that there will be a hat, so don't be disappointed if there isn't one. However, don't be surprised if Hat Trick does indeed unlock a hat for TF2 either, because that achievement icon makes it seem likely.

Huh. It does kind of look like it. I never actually saw the icon, that's just what I heard. In fact, I just spent like 3 minutes refreshing the page until the Hat Trick achievement was listed with the sample achievements. However it is sort of hard to tell. There aren't really any defining features. To be honest, it almost looks like it could be wig. I am sure it isn't, but just saying.

I don't know, the first omens are already there, short range, behaving like pressurized gas, etc...we'll have to see.

As for the hat I think you may just need to be pounced on for the achievement since it appears to have one for shooting it in mid-air. (second icon in the pic)
That mid-air icon does remind me of Jump Shot from L4D and Jumper Stumper from TF2 so seems likely
