 Ok, so I got the game yesterday. I have no problem with any game I own and on steam. But for some reason I can't even start this one. I tried starting it by going through the steam --> config --> my username --> blacklight: tango down --> the .exe and that didn't even work. I tried running by administrator and it didn't help at all. It didn't make any difference all it does when I launch it is goes black then a few seconds later it just crashed to Blacklight: Tango Down has stopped working!

Yes, thank's for replying I still didn't get to play. My younger brother has a much lower specifications on his laptop and he bought the game the same day I did. My younger brother has absolutely no problem playing the game. I have an Alienware laptop it's the M17x with windows 7 Home premium 64 bit. I tried running as administrator and still no solution. Please I really want to play this game. I saw my brother play it and I played it a bit and it was fun. Some people had their pro's and con's toward the game but from what I played it was alright. Please if somebody can help me i'd be so thankful. I tried so much and my last resort was to try the forums. :( By the way my laptop exceeds the specifications.

Cool that you have the same laptop... I'm not sure and I don't know what the cause is try deleting some things. I deleted my firewall protection but now it can't even launch at all. It doesn't even launch. What is your Steam username i'll add you and we can talk there. I bought Transformers war for Cybertron and that works perfectly fine. It's obviously the game and we are the only two people that seem to have the problem. I at least want to get it to work because I don't want $15.00 to go to waste. Someone please help us solve this. I can't even launch my game at all! :(

Try updating your video card drivers and DirectX. Also, post your crash log as that can help figure out where your system is having problems.

My Nvidia cards are already update I tried and that caused some more problems so that really has nothing to do with my issue. This is so confusing and a pain in the ♥♥♥. I tried everything and I can't post a crash long because my game doesn't even launch anymore. When I go to launch it nothing happens. :(

Alright here is the what i got told by steam to do and it WORKS!! but yes sadly NO PLAYERS!!!!!!@#@#!@$#!@ The only thing i didn't so was the last part of this something i needed to download from Microsoft which wasn't in the game files.
Exit Steam entirely. Browse to your Blacklight Tango Down installation folder (Usually C:\Program files\Steam\Steamapps\Common\battlefield bad company 2\) Run the following installers: ...\Steamapps\Common\blacklight tango down\Redists\DXSetup\DXSETUP.exe ...\Steamapps\Common\blacklight tango down\Redists\vcredist_x86.exe Also, install the latest version of the Games For Windows Live software, which can be found here: http://www.microsoft.com/games/en-us/live/pages/livemarketplace.aspx If you are on a 64-bit operating system, you may also need to run this installer: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=ba9257ca-337f-4b40-8c14-157cfdffee4e Reboot your computer and test the issue. If you continue to have difficulty, please also run the following installer: ...\steamapps\common\blacklight tango down\Redists\PhysX_9.10.0129_SystemSoftware Reboot once more and test the issue again.
There you go guys goodluck getting it to work and when you do let me know so we can play!!!! Cheers:)

Try this steps, a friend of mine had the same problem:
- open your steam\steamapps\common\blacklight directory
- run the game .exe
if it crashes asking for a missing .dll search it on google, download it and copy it on the folder
