You got a point. A lot of the design seems similar. Same gameplay style. Similar weapons. Even have turrets in Both games. The aliens are a wee bit different, but you can see some similarities.

The real hope here is that this is a good game unlike Alien Breed.

Yup. And Call of Duty looks like Medal of Honor. Sonic looks like Mario. FIFA looks like Pro Evolution. Bayonetta looks like Devil May Cry. X-Plane looks like Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Alien Swarm is made by Valve, is free, and also looks like way more fun.
