I bought the game for 360 when it came out and I hated it. I hated the camera view especially. I could never tell wtf was going on and all the angles I could set were horrible. I either had to be right on top of my character and see nothing around me, or zoom so far out it was like fighting ants.

I'm assuming the PC version isn't like this? I really love Diablo/Titan Quest, and I have a feeling I might enjoy this as well.

I count ten distinct levels of zoom (using the keyboard, not the mouse wheel) in the PC version. I don't know if that's more fine-grained than the Xbox version or not. Part of the problem is that Sacred 2 is a mishmash of WASD third-person and isometric click-and-point, and doesn't do either one that well. For example, W and S moves your character forwards and back, but A and D pans the camera left and right--but you can't use the mouse to pan the camera by moving the cursor to the sides.

Arguably the best way to play is to set the camera on "fixed," and play it like an isometric click-and-point, using zoom to adjust the view accordingly. I'm also experimenting with the camera on "follow," while panning the camera to see what's around me.

I play the PS3 version frequently, and I never thought the controls were off or difficult at all. Try a gamepad if you have one for your PC? And yes fixed camera is pretty essential for being able to control properly IMO.
