When the developers/publishers are shy in providing Kane & Lynch 2 game details (system requirements, dedicated servers .. etc.) is usually a bad sign. Compare the details published for Mafia 2 (released slightly after K&L2) on steam or otherwise and those for K&L2 and you can see what I mean.

I hope that I am wrong and someone can direct me to a source with such information.

Agreed. I would love to hear if we're getting dedicated servers.
Dedicated Servers will be a deciding factor for wheater I buy it or not.

I wish I could say the same, but so many good games are screwed right now thanks to bad\no dedicated. take a look at AvP3, or Lead and Gold, some proper dedicated could have made those so much better.

Well, for those of us that are in it for single player, the inclusion of dedicated servers means absolutely nothing.

BUT... a PC demo for Kane and Lynch 2 will be released in just three days, the 26th... so, you can all judge performance/stability and online functionality then.

Article is on shacknews (http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/64861) in case you are curious.

Thanks - this is good news to know, I will be looking forward to testing it.

I too focus on the single player (and offline co-op in this case), but this does not normally last long and has low replay value - and that's where the multiplayer kicks in.

Wow, that's awesome news man, thanks :D
Glad to see a PC demo coming so soon, only 2 more days, I'll be sure to check it out as soon as possible :)

Edit: Unfortunately, no dedicated servers for PC :( source (http://twitter.com/iointeractive).
"@Valleyhunter PC version is supported through STEAM and no, we don't have dedicated servers for this one."
So yeah, I'll give the demo a try anyhow, and if the game will work good enough I guess I can live without dedi's.

Yeah, I'm buying Kane And Lynch 2 for the single player. Dedicated servers would just be icing on the cake for me.

When you ask for dedicated servers, are you asking for dedicated server support, or are you asking for the developers to personally set up servers for you to play on?

@IOInteractive on Twitter just said there will not be dedicated servers in KL2.

Not a huge deal. They are aware of the desire for host migration though, so that may have to be the compromise.

Is K&L2 going to suck as bad as K&L1? What are initial impressions. I know critics and players were both pretty harsh with the first game.
