I speak in the name of many users of mw2. We are pissed of the several problems that steam and its servers have. When you search for a game, most of times you get into a started game and the teams are not balanced either. Moreover several times we have lagg games and many players got kicked all time.Apart of that the great number of cheaters in this servers.

I hope someone hear my request and do something to change it.

Dedicated servers with IWnet on this game would be the best idea ever... Since it the host having a bad connection/computer causing host sided lag meaning even if he hosted as a dedicated one it wouldn't lower the lag at all and you'd have like one in a thousand chance to get onto the server.

All the files are already there for dedis apparently. So it shouldn't even be that hard to swap it, however, there is no one left to swap it. And if there were, they wouldn't be listening to the SPUF.

We want it now? No we wanted it 9 months ago. Please don't post again as threads like this is a waste of webspace, hell this whole section of the forums is a waste of space because 99% of the people who post either complain about something that's already been brought up or want something fix. People need to realize that IW is dead and when they were full force they didn't even take a glance at their forums, so why would they bother looking at a 3rd party sites forum.

Hmmm, those signatures were BEFORE the release of the game. The game is now only a few months away from death due to the release of Black Ops. If those people were to be asked again if they wanted dedicated servers with what they know now, I can GUARANTEE you that the vast majority wouldn't give a crap and not bother to sign.

Are you serious? I'm guessing MW2 is your first shooter, no one hosts dedicated servers from there home computer only if they are poor and can't afford a dedicated server. No one can host a server and play at the same time either from the same computer or different ones because bandwidth becomes a huge issue.

IW is nearly dead they arnt working for Activision anymore and do not care about the PC community as most companies now are just porting there games from console if it keeps on going time to buy a PS3 :(

Not my first shooter. And I personally wouldn't bother paying to have my own server up, I'd just host it myself on my comp and keep it sized so that my comp and connection can handle it... And since this game is 6v6, you wont need insane amounts of bandwidth to be a host, and since this is designed to run on xbox 360 and even the ps3 your comp doesn't need all that much performance compared to what you could have to be the host either.

well pc needs a good cpu also not just internet and i have a ps3 copy also and i lag more on there but at least when it times out on there we ALL return to lobby not just you timing out

A dedicated server for 12 -18 players costs about 5$ a month .. its not anything that would rip you or anything..

Im a normal, regular guy who play online.. no clan, no nothing
- just playing with my friends online to enjoy a good time..

I WOULD REND A SERVER
- just like I did with CS 1.4
- just like I did with CS:CZ
- just like I did with CS:SC
- just like I did with MW1

and now you ask me why ?
- because its nice to join a server were your lagfree with your friends
- because its nice to join a server were you dont have to bother with
"host migration", "cheaters", "Connection problems", "Unable to join game session", "attempting to join game session", "unable to join frineds game", or anything else that we spend endless of time doing with this game now.

and finaly
- because on a dedicated server, u can have rules... Ur rules.
- so if you dont want people tubing (I dont mind), make a rule
- If u dont want people camping (I dont mind), make a rule
- If u dont want people swearing (I dont mind), make a rule

and yes, dedicated servers have software against this, and its easy to inject a rule to ur server, makes people unable to tube, camp, swear (like on this forum) etc.

- I would like dedicated servers ! And I know im not alone !
