Resolution Problems

Hey, I've just recently bought this game due to people tell me it's excellent. I've come into one problem, I'm not able to alter the resolution of the game to 1680x1050. I press "Change to these Settings" but it doesn't change it

I think I might have the same problem. My HUD is still pretty big on my screen. Anybody else have this problem and/or know how to fix it?

menu stays the same. when you start up the game, the resolution while actually playing is what you set it to.
