The pre-order perk wasn't a name reservation, it was exactly what we messaged, early access to the servers at launch.

Also it's quite likely you can just change your name back to Redrum and it won't be taken. That's what I did with my old name.

And no the game isn't dieing, especially since there is a big update coming soon.

the word "redrum" isnt mentioned once in both of those articles. But ive seen the movie and i see where youre comin from. But its a name, who cares. pick something else, dont see why that would ruin ur gaming experience

Aion and Final Fantasy have little in common, whether it be play style or it's gameplay direction. Aion is PvP oriented, Final Fantasy is PvE oriented. Square Enix has had no interest what so ever to incorporate PvP into 14, learning from their "mistakes" in 11.

As for your statement on Final Fantasy being a "carebear" game, that's just ignorant, and leads me to assume you've not played, or even seen beta footage. The same could be said about Aion, seeing as it's PvP has little to no negatives in death, compared to DAOC for example.

On an end note, please stop trying to stick up for Aion in such an abusive way. Many players were upset about the way NCSoft was going about the server mergers and name changes, and I can understand where stinkfinger is coming from. A name is a name, it is unique to you when you claim it. With the way they handled it, someone can easily take that name, and try to impersonate that person, and it's already happened to many, more "well known" players on the servers.

Don't take it as I don't like Aion, quite the opposite, I love the way PvP works and feels, and the massive nightly fort raids, leading to three way faction wars, but please, attacking someone who is frustrated obviously at the way the game is going, and how a company has handled those that gave their support through pre-orders, and instead putting down their choices, is inappropriate.

Please sit down with Wikipedia and Google Translate for half an hour and make up a new name. You will be adding something of your own to the game, and you will never have to worry about this stuff again.

No, I'm pretty sure the finest in bs is posting your gut reaction without taking two minutes to check it against the point that was made. Abiz appears to be a real life surname.

Not a bad handle, and I'd be surprised to find it already spoken for in new games on a regular basis, but I wasn't being facetious about looking things up first. By carelessly making fun of my argument you have only managed to support it.

@Redrumys: Point being if you wanted to "reserve" the name by getting to the game early you should have reserved it on all servers. Mistake leaned. But on a side note I get where you're coming from... I'd hate to wake up one day and be called Nuadinys ... Really it just throws off the whole compound of it. Plus... for a certain other MMORPG I'ma jump in real quick and hope to reserve the name Saint... And due to you're unfortunate story... I might just do that on every server I can manage... depending on the game's allowances of course.

I generally have 5-6 names that I really like so if I lose the first opportunity at a name I have a few other shots at finding a good name.

It sucks that I like common names like Cooper when making character's.
