This is an article from the German Game-magazine "Gamestar". For all of you who don't read German so well, I'll give you a rough summary:
They were invited to a game-play demonstration (real in-game material) set in shanghai harbor (supposedly 2nd of the 5 major-levels, about 6 hours into the game) and it seems like they kept all the great things. The world is a limited but freely explorable level (just like DE). By choosing your upgrades in an earlier stage of the game, you have different ways of getting into the target buildings there: paying the entrance-fee, beating up the doorman (this is basic of course), but also lifting chests with enhanced muscles and climb in (sounds familiar doesn't it :)) or looking through the walls to find a non secured way, lock-picking a back door and so on. Being stealthy now allows you to finish up to four unaware enemies with a take-down move, but of course you don't have to. Dialog system is said to resemble Mass Effect's, which would be great in my opinion.
I'm well aware that this could all be some kind of "we make one great demo-level", but I'm starting to be a little more optimistic now, hoping that they will balance and polish it, so that Deus Ex finally gets a worthy successor.
