Good game but continuous CTD

I like this game, and i just want to play it(Arma2 Combine Operations), i play it on medium to normal settings (with post processing low), but after half a hour the game crash to desktop. Any help?.

My system:
Windows7 32
M: 4 GBs
VM: HD4870 512
Processor: Core 2 duo E8400 3.0 MHz

dump the Post Processing first off. You may be overheating your system (not joking) the game is a major CPU hog and I've seen loads of other guys crash due to heated systems. Also, you can set your resolution pretty high with no framerate loss usually, and just dump AA and PP. I also killed shadows and this made a big difference too. Oh and check the drivers on your graphics card, they may be out of date (seen that causing CTD too).
