User file is wrong size

My game keeps crashing every time I click on Zombatar or on the main menu button in the store. I also get it at the end of a level in adventure mode/mini games so my game never saves. Each time, I get the error message "User file is wrong size". Anyone else having this problem since the update?

yes. so far neither steam nor popcap has been able to fix this one. i contacted both for support. the only workaround that i've discovered so far is to create a new profile and start over from scratch. that will allow you full access to everything.

apparently, some genius completely missed the fact that while they were adding new stuff to the game, the size of the user profile footprint wasn't changed.

I started a new profile,nothing. Same BS. Tried verifying integrity of game cache,defraging,deleted the PvZ folder and then Downloading it again. Same ♥♥♥♥. Since My saved data is gone I can just play the tutorial,the 1st level of it,and once the sunflower unlocks... neat. User file is wrong size. Nifty,f*cking nifty. GOTY edition,or Broken Game edition? :mad:

Same thing happened to me but I found a fix!

On your Steam shortcut on your desktop right click and go to Properties. In compatibility tab check the box to have it run as administrator. Restart Steam and voila. Stupid that this is necessary but hey, it works.

how did you enable that? it's not a selectable option for me.
