The main page is swamped with Quakecon ads. I don't think anybody will get a chance to know about the game, unless they're checking their steam games list.

Nerp!

You could say the same for the 2 new games that were released after the quakecon sales.

Kind of amusing to see your post as the first I read after heading to the forums to see what the hell this Booster Trooper thing was on my games list :-D

So, should I? Or is this another Lead And Gold weekend of empty servers and/or "your ping is too high, sod off"?

I said this in another thread:

"I found out about this free weekend by accident when looking at my list of game licenses, with this prominently at the top of the list. The store's home page makes no mention of it at all, not even in the specials section. My pop up update news did not even mention it.

It must be hard for the little guys to get publicity, even when they are giving it away. Zeni Max is like an 800 lb gorilla compared to them. Its too bad they had to pick the same weekend to have deals."

I hope they can actually get some advertisement space on the store home page. Right now I am assuming it's just because it is early in the morning, but any lag in a promotion like this can negates potential gains it could have had. Steam should give them that nice corner advert that they normally give for these events, this way players realize they can have some free fun.

Zeni Max is cool, but they do not need to splash over into three frames.

Too bad you did not get to enjoy that free weekend. I got a quite a few hours of game play before and after the server issues on that Saturday. Hopefully Booster Troopers has been tested with more than a few hundred simultaneous users.;)

It's either Booster Trooper or Oblivion.

Sorry Booster Trooper, Oblivion wins.

I also have Crash Commando on PSN.

So I saw the game, downloaded it and have not been able to join a game yet.
Why do servers say 8/12 players but have no free slots?
Why is every server I do connect to, disconnects before it finishes loading?
Is 191 ping playable? Because that's the lowest I see. Well, sometimes I see 50's, but they are never open.

Must be a great game if you can actually play it

This.

I didn't read the weekend pro-mo and assumed Oblivion would be around all weekend. DOH!
