Doom 3 needs a CD key that I dont have!

when I launch Doom 3 it says that I need a CD key but it is already input and when i click OK it says that the CD key is invalid. Where can i find the CD key for Doom 3?

Hello Roy,

Thank you for contacting Steam Support.

NOTE: If you are running in Windows Vista or Windows 7, you please ensure you are running Steam as Administrator. To do this, completely exit Steam, and right-click on the shortcut which you use to launch Steam and select "Run as Administrator."

Try launching the Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil expansion pack. Exit once it has fully loaded, and then launch Doom 3 again.

If you continue to experience difficulty, please follow the directions below:

From the "Library" list in Steam, right-click on "Doom 3" and select "Properties" from the menu.

Select the "Local files" tab and click the "Verify integrity of game cache..." button.

Steam will verify the game cache files (GCF's) - this process may take several minutes.

Once the process is completed, the "Check" window will automatically exit.

Note: You will not need to enter your CD Key to access the game.

If you have any further errors, please let us know - we will be happy to assist you.

And after I had this fix, i ran into the dual monitor bug. Having two active monitors on one card causes the game to crash. Deactivating one means the game runs...

P.S. Im running on Win7 x64 Ultimate, with 2x ATI 5850 (Crossfire), i7 860, 8 Gb Ram .... And yes I get this game to run.

When I launched mine it had the Doom 3 CD key in, but not RoE. But, I already own both on disc and that CD key worked fine...

If you bought both over steam then just run ROE after Doom 3 and it activates your ROE serial key, thats what i did.

If you look in your steamapps\common\doom3\base directory there should be some files relating to the cd key. I found mine there.
