advanced missions?

Hi,

new to the game, some achievments mention advanced levels, which ones are these?

Stuff like:

Campaign Challenge
XX Tower Limit
XXk Resource Limit
Green Towers Only
Campaign Reverse
Single Core
Poison Core
Grinder
Super Grinder
Relaxed Mode


Basically anything other than the normal Campaign mode is considered an "advanced" mode/level.

Hmm I tested it trying to get "gun crazy" on the ancient research level, just guns upgraded, but no luck.

Advanced mission is from Out of Fuel and onwards. (only in the awakening set of maps for the sake of achievements)

So it has to be a mission from Out of Fuel onwards AND a special mode (other than regular story)?

Because I did story mode and a mission after Out of Fuel, but didn't get Gun Crazy.

IIRC, it doesn't need to be a special mode. Story mode is fine.

Well, apparantly you don't remember correctly, because I didn't get it on story mode.

100% positive it can be done in story missions. Perhaps you built a temporal tower during play?

If you are dead certain you had only gun towers during the whole mission, then maybe there is a glitch somewhere.

No. I didn't build any temporal towers. Only guns. I forget the name of the mission, but it is the one where you get the Telsa tower in story mode (but I didn't use Telsa towers either).

In any case, it really bothers me that the devs did not clearly defined "advanced mission" any where in-game, yet they use it as part of the achievement description.

Not one to care about getting achievements. Got this on accident 6 red guns on fire control. If you still don't get it maybe your game is glitched? Pretty sure it was story mode. 1 percent chance it was story challenge

Well, apparantly you don't remember correctly, because I didn't get it on story mode.

It's entirely possible another glitch is responsible for missing the achievement. I had to try multiple times to get certain achievements. I think most of mine were connection issues where I went offline while I was playing and then steam didn't report things quite right when I went back online.

Just got the Shellshocked achievement (cannons only on an "advanced" level) on the one where you first get Tesla coils in regular story mode. Evidently, the "advanced" bit simply means you can't do it on one of the first couple levels; if Gun Crazy kicked in for winning the very first level where you only HAVE the basic gun turrets, for instance, there wouldn't be any point in having the achievement at all.

I think I did it on out of fuel but I can't remember for sure.

I just did Barrier to entry>grinder (2 after Out of fuel) using only inferno turrets and didn't get the "Firebug" achievement :confused:

After a month of trying, I finally beat a Green Towers Only mission (on Turnabout). Got gold, but no Minimalist achievement.

Perhaps it has to be level 1 towers on a non-GTO mission? I dunno, I also wish 'Advanced Mission' was better defined.

i have the same problem with the Minimalist achievement, i never get it even though i tried on an advance mission AFTER the out of fuel map

i have 9 achievements to complete, one of them i still don't know how i'm gonna get it, and then there's Minimalist that i never get :\

Same here for minimalist. In out of fuel, only green. One of the big reds did get away so I lost some cores. I build a temporal but that was green too. So in my view is all ok for minimalist. Will try again and post where/how I got it, if ever :D
