Installing Microsoft DirectX...

Everytime i start the game it comes up with the Microsoft DirectX installing (step 1 of 1) and then says after that the normal starting nation red message.

my trouble is how can i get rid of the installing bit? i've played the game like 6 or 7 times now and every time it installs this... -.-

not sure.
but when i get progs that keep installing with different games its normally down to installscript.vdf.

so i just rename it to installscript.vdf.bak
