VATS lag

Is there any way to fix the lag going into VATS mode? It sometimes can take up to a minute just to transition into it. Besides that, the game plays smooth.

Note that it is more a workaround than a direct fix, so you might want to consider trying other fixes first, like using recent drivers, reinstalling the Microsoft Visual C+ Redist, reinstalling (not uninstalling) .NET files, etc, etc.

(check your audio drivers too, apparently some Realtek drivers can cause issues)
