It is always cut in germany and australia. No exceptions.
Did that guy just have a nosebleed from being punched in the face?
Yes sir!
Well make the guy who punches him offer him a drink instead!
Getting right on it!
No wait! THat's Drug reference! Make the MWPH give him a Lollypop!
Are you sure? Are you sure(condescending)
No wait, you're right! That might be seen as encouragement to be a Pedophile! 18+!
Living in Germany and every single game is cut for no reason (Actually just the games including blood of any kind (TF2 in germany is about ♥♥♥♥ing robots!) ) (unless steam epically fails and for some unexplainable reason gives me access to the uncut versions for some reason :p, despite my brother in the room next to mine playing the censored versions of the same games)

Everything is cut in Germany, my friend. Time to cross the Rhein and keep going until you hit the scenic French Riviera where you can sit on the beach all day and play uncensored games at night!
It is always cut in germany and australia. No exceptions.
i doubt this one will be cut in australia

Ease up now. We allowed FEAR2, the new AVP, Gears of War and God of War 3 to go through uncensored....but not Left 4 Dead 2, that is just too much.
I don't see any reason why Brink would be censored in Australia or Germany.

Believe me , the politician always find a stupid reason to cut a game -.-
Instead of helping people in other countries or even help their own country , they need to make a new rule about cut all games, or something else that makes their pockets bigger than they already are.
sry for my english^^

Hey guys, did you know that Michael Atkinson resigned? He's staying on in an advisory capacity for a few more years i think, but soon we'll have an australian ratings board that doesn't subscribe to the idea that Doom incited the Columbine massacre.

It's not the politicians who cut the games, it's the developers themselves. Usually they just do it prematurely in order to get a certain rating or just to avoid the game from getting 'indexed' (basically meaning banning of the advertising).
And yeah, it's absolutely not true that every game gets censored for Germany. It's purely the choice of devs/publishers.

TF2 in germany is about ♥♥♥♥ing robots!
What the hell are you talking about?
also who cares if it's cut in germany or not. If it's cut, order it uncut at http://gameware.at/ or any other austrian game shop.

I'm talking about TF2 in germany having all players bleed oil or explode into gears, Cogs and Balloon animals
That's what I'm talking about

Unless you played on a modded server I'm not quite sure where you got your information from.
It's true that the characters explode in ballons, confetti, bath ducks, tricycle-wheels, burgers and stuff but that doesn't make the characters robots O.o
And they don't bleed oil, they bleed blood, just less than in the uncut version.
But about the exploding stuff, thats the best freaking visual cut I've ever seen. It's way better than the corpses just dissapear and it fits the style of TF2. I even have friends who have the uncut version and wish to have the cut version just because of this.

these fat suckers only know this game, though never tried it...
germany is still the most narrow-minded counry of the world

that sounds good, does this guy also think that counterstrike caused the virginia tech massacre (the perpetrator was last known to play it four years before and was only known to have played sonic the hedgehog in an arcade every now and again in the months before the shooting)
some people can be so ♥♥♥♥ing stupid, it was metal and rap, tthen violent tv, now violent video games (metal was also brought into the columbine shootings motives)
its whatever kids are into at the time basically

Pretty sure they do bleed oil. Watch German Meet the Soldier. They either bleed oil or sparks I think.

brink cut, what?
There is no big blood or something, its like TF2 but without gore, so no cuts needed...
So what should they cut?
replace the players by robots?

Well, I know this thread is ages old, but to anyone who is searching info about this, I just want to point out that the official website of brink points out a usk 16 rating for brink. So I guess we get it uncensored. Just like anyone else.
But duh, germany.. you never know what ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ they will hit you with next.. give a game a usk 16 rating and exchange weapons for water guns!

Australia won't get censored. It is actually less violent than Splash Damages previous games.
Isn't it in Germany that they ban/censor games that depict 'Government Officials' getting hurt or killed.
Also games showing the ♥♥♥♥ Swastika. Such as Medal of Honor Allied Assault (which simply censored the symbols)

Killing floor wasn't censored until the retail version was released now it's censored.

even Borderlands was censored in germany so the chances are high that Brink will also have a low violence version for german players. But this game is not yet rated by the USK so it's all speculation

Well for one, Borderlands does have considerably high violence in its uncut version, with heads being shot off etc.. you know how they are in germany.
But if it isn't rated by the usk yet (and I didn't find any Brink rating on the usk homepage), explain me this:
Screenshot of the german version of brinkthegame.com (http://img34.imageshack.us/i/brinkt.jpg/)
promoting false information?

German game magazines can pubblish information as long as the game is not on the index (example: GoW3 (http://www.pcgames.de/Gears-of-War-3-PC-219666/) will definately be on the index). And a censoreship like the one on Borderlands doesnt' mean that they may not publish information about the game.

and where exactly is that connected to my previous post?
I simply stated that borderlands had enough violence in it to make it highly expectable that it would be cut in germany.

BRINK will be uncut and USK 16. Which means that there is not much violence in that game.

If they really prefer those gibts, tell them to add -sillygibs to the launch options.
Ont topic: From what I heard brink is gonna be uncut an rated USK 16 in Ger.

mhh.. thats not really a good sign...
Could be related to the release date, as it is different from the Northern US version of the game, but if thats the reason, then why choose (DE) rather then (EU) or (ROW) as the release date is the same in whole Europe and the rest of the world

Ususally, if something is cut, the Steam store page states "Low violence version". But seeing that BRINK isn't about gibbing your opponents apart and only has some light and minor blood spatter, it will be uncut pretty sure. I get all my games gifted from UK anyways, to be on the safe side :)
