So for anybody back from vacation or out of the loop NCsoft and Arenanet Have a booth at Gamescom and over the past 2 days there has been a content explosion, I still haven't watched/read it all and it's been 2 days.

My reaction, I consider Arenanet the best rpg developer in terms of concept art resembling the final product, I remember them saying they rebuilt the core engine but they could have fooled me.

The lands are recognizable in only good ways, combat shows promise, immersion is at a level far beyond the first and that's just from the demo info.

The hype has got me but I imagine with mechanics this new the balance will be hell at the beginning. Something I will gladly deal with.

But i'm wondering, is the world in GW2 by any chance open world?

I loved GW1 but the world felt so small with its instances and fast traveling, the the lack of jumping is grinding mah balls!

But i saw that in a demo of GW2 that the character was jumping <3Good job Anet!

But if there is a Open world added into it all i think they have a WoW killer here. And no monthly fees? Even if they releases a Expansion Pack every half year it would be a lot cheaper then other MMOS with montly fees

My brother (maybe me too) are going to PAX next week? Idk when it is exactly I don't want to go. But apparently they are gonna have the demo there for us to play.

Yes this time they have a persistent world, they still use instances just like all MMO's, this time they are where you would want an instance to be.
