File Compression Error

Hi, I've had VTM for a while now, and had only played it through a couple of times with only the basic 1.2 patch. However i tried putting on Wesps patch and as soon as i got to the second hub i can't load the save. I get a file compression error.

The other saves i have that are before the hub are fine, just not after. This happens with the true patch as well.

Any ideas why?

AMD Athlon XP 2800+
nVidia Nforce motherboard
1 GB of memory
Radeon 9250

Are you trying to load old saves after applying either the Wesp mod or the True patch? Bad idea, can't be done.
You will need to restart from the beginning.

Agreed, You need to start with a clean install, this means you need to uninstall every thing from your VtMB Folder, if you dont have any other Activision games on your computer then delete that folder and its contents, then run something like CCleaner's registry cleaner and remove anything that says activision, Troika, Vampire the Masquerade and bloodlines.

After all that reinstall the game then the 1.2 patch (just to be safe, not really necessary) then load your patch of choice then all mods you want to use, just follow the instructions and everything should be good to go.
