multiplayer help please

i recently purchased renaissance and i am trying to connect to the online lobby, i have already opened all of the ports in the readme and i still get the same error telling me to consult the readme file. please let there be someone who can help me out. i realize this is probably a regularly posted issue on the forum and i apologize, but i would like to play this game online since it says i can.

I can tell you that their games could be moded versions which makes your version in-compatable with their version.

you misunderstood me. i opened up all of the ports, and i still get the same error when trying to get into the multiplayer lobby to even SEE The games. i cant even sign in w/ my account.
