Dead Rising 2 Question

Hello fellow DR 2 Fans/Community, i just want to know what kind of game is this anyways? is this just one of them free play games with a major spaced out mall, with loads of zombies and aim of the game is to kill as many zombies as you can to add points to your score? is there even a story line to this or what?

It isn't really a complete free roam game. You are in Fortune City and have 72 game hours (6 real time hours if the timing is like the original) to complete all your 'missions' and objectives. In that time you can also explore Fortune City and have fun butchering and messing with zombies. There are also psychopaths (humans gone crazy) who guard some areas and these are sort of like boss fights.

Plus you can play story-mode in coop with a second person or play multiplayer where 4 players compete in a gameshow involving zombies.

well i looked at DR1 MetaCritic got 85/100, so will wait and see what this gets for a review and if it gets good i will consider to buy it, hopefully it gets steamwork's with leaderboards/achvs/stats/cloud would be a bonus!

the first game was so emotional, until you got the megaman suit, then you just couldn't help but laugh at all the cutscenes :D

I dislike them for trying make these awesome-sounding games into an arcade joke.

What reason does this guy have for only being allowed in for "72-hours" ?

Edit: Read the Wikipedia article and read the bit of plot where he only has "72-hours".

Besides the need to find Zombrex for Katey, Chuck learns from a news report that he is accused of causing the outbreak in Fortune City and that the military will come to capture him in 3 days, or 72 hours.

ReallY? They believe a professional motocross champion decided (and had the ability/time/mental capacity) to randomly inject 50 orphans with a virus that this guy friggin' made? A motocross champ designs and perfects a zombie virus? Are you serious?

No, if you watch the cut scene, there's a video on the news of him blowing up a barricade holding the zombies used for the terror is reality show.
