Ok... i bought this game this afternoon for €40
I can understand the initial launch problems as that's simply a fault of vstep...
But now I'm getting mad!
steam has dropped the store pages and even dropped game support!!!!
I would like an explanation from a forum admin or steam sales staff because now i dont know if i've been screwed over or they temporarily just took the store page offline until there is a fix and so others cant buy it for now....
Please respond, Since i started gaming i've bought all my games on steam, dont drop me like this o.0:confused:

I just replied to your post in the sticky thread. But here it is again:
We've hidden the game from the store for now, as it doesn't make sense to continue selling the game in Steam until the outstanding issues are resolved.
It will most likely be available again for purchase in the store once the game is patched and operational.

I bought this game directly from the maker and it runs nicely, so give Steam a little time to sort out the issues. I've been having fun with it; you will too once it's working on Steam.

And Steam Support had the audacity to reply to my email denying me a refund? By your own admission you are now confirming you have removed the game because it doesn't work.
Taking into consideration UK Distant Selling Laws and the fact the Game is NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE. I expect a refund please.
I tell you this now - If I don't get refunded for a game that does not work it shall be the last game I ever get from Steam. Up until now I have been a strong advocate of this service and have chosen to use it on many occasions. This is the first time I have ever had a problem with any game - and to be denied a refund because of a game not working disgusts me. I would have thought better of Steams customer service.

Cherbert, it is very disappointing that this game doesn't work for so many people and while Steam refusing to give you a refund is pretty bad it also isn't their fault.
It appears that the creators of the game have been very lax where STEAM is involved, didn't provide them with the correct CD-keys and didn't provide them with a working version of the game for their upload servers.
I have bought in excess of one hundred titles via steam and have never had problems like this.
If they do not provide the fix to STEAM to upload soon then I hope you succeed in getting your refund but be angry at them, not Valve.

I am VERY angry at V-Step/Paradox. Trust me. But I think I am entitled to be angered at Steam for refusing a refund on a non working product that they themselves have withdraw.
I do accept that all the problems are nothing to do with Steam despite what those V-Step fans over on the official forums would have you believe.

Do you have any idea when the game will be patched?

thats the dumbest thing ive ever hearddutchy. at least Steam could give out a friggin timeframe on what the hell the ETA for the fix is. Theyve left everyone completely in the dark, utterly disgraceful service on their part

My guess is: they misplace something to begin with, as the description of the game was refering to a puzzle game, costing $39,00. When they realize the mistake, because the game was actually costing $51,00 in the shipsim site, they withdrew the game from the store. Now we need to wait for some kind of agreement between them!
Whish us luck! I hope I´m wrong!
I´m anxious about this game!

Lol you're obviously not a developer, if they knew how to fix it quick it would be done, if they don't know how to fix it quick they cannot know how long it will take. People seem to have a problem with this concept. I would also guess a few days, but if they say that and don't deliver you would be even more mad.

It's nice to hear a good word about this game, as I do love the genre. In view of everything I'm reading lately I feel that this is a title I can wait on until a serious sale comes along.
As for those unhappy about the refund policies, I think most all of us can empathize how badly it sucks to sink money into a game and then you can't play it. On the other hand, it just doesn't pay to get mad at Steam about it. Although I wish they had a more liberal policy, this is pretty much how they always do it.
Support has not been withdrawn, and even though the product isn't being delivered as timely as we may wish and deserve, you do have more than a reasonable expectation to play it before long. Caveat emptor! I can't think of a time that I didn't read the forums before buying a new game through Steam.
