View Full Version : What a complete shambles

I was really looking forward to this game but it has left nothing but a bad taste for me.

I bought the digital download direct from Steam themselves.
I, like many others, did not get my CD-KEY.
The developer put all blame on STEAM.
I had to wait 24 hours before receiving my CD-KEY.
Once I had CD-KEY I get the "no menu, only sea" error.
Again developer says it's a problem on steam's end, advice is just to "Download again".
I am now in the process of downloading this game a third time from Steam, not everyone has fast internet access and it takes me a little over eight hours in good conditions to download this game.
If it doesn't work this time I will be deleting it for good, this developer will never see any more of my money and I should hope that other people are thinking the same, they should not be encouraged that they can get away with this and passing the blame off on the distribution system.

As I said, I was very excited for this release but it is just a joke.
Very disappointed.

And no, there is little point posting this on their official forums, I'd just get someone copy-paste "Please delete the game and download it again" as a reply, not good enough.

The official forums are rubbish. The developer appears to have launched the game then gone AWOL for the long weekend. Why would you do that when you have a major product launch on a Friday before a bank holiday?

The tone of the moderators over there angers me.

They all blame Steam. When in actual fact it is clearly not Steams fault. According to Steam it is Paradox who messed up with the keys. And the fact the game has problems loading is NOTHING to do with Steam. So as much as I am a bit angered by Steam at present (Trying to get a refund for this game) I can't accept the reactions on the official forums in support of V-Step. V-Step are totally to blame for this shambles and I am further angered by their complete absence over this weekend.

the developer saying just redownload IS NOT how steam works, steam will when the game is fixed automaticly patch your game, redownloading WILL NOT I repeat WILL NOT work, just leave it installed and steam will automaticly patch it when there is a patch.

As this is one hell of a good game (atleast i hate great fun playing the other ones in this series), just wait for it to be patched, and consider it as a pre-order for now
(i have been raging this whole day asswell but given up...)
