Stuttering Issues

I bought this game during the $5 sale and ever since I started playing it, I've had stutter problems after about 10-30 minutes of play. Also, the bottom of my characters coat the starts flying all over the screen.

yes this game runs worse then crysis on my rig. But if you turn off Sunshafts and SSAO that really helps with the rendering. I wish there was a way like there is in crysis to unload the physics off the cpu and on to the gpu.

I'm playing this game on a 4.5 years old Athlon X2 overclocked to 2.5 Ghz.
I used to have the stutter issues after huge buildings came down. Once the game started to stutter, it would only get worse and worse until I restarted the game.

What helped me fix this was turn off the Aero GUI in Windows 7 and use the Basic one. Now the game doesn't ever stutter anymore and runs perfectly.
