why do a lot of mods.........

increase difficulty?
im happy with the preset difficulties, looking at redux, it makes you play the most difficult difficulty.
i was looking for mods that changed the visuals a little, (atmosfear 2 is too demanding it wont load) add maybe afew more guns and alter small bits and peices, but some modmakers really go over the top and dont think universal, Pavel dosent have this trouble..

Actually I find the higher difficulties almost easier. Very much because while everything is more deadly, so are you. The basic playing remains the same, you sneak and sneak some more. But I don't install stuff to make it harder either. Master difficulty is fine as is. Although I am playing OL2.2 on hardest and boy, it is hard. Almost a different game. Everybody dies! In here it is true survival horror now. Kinda nice since CoP was so friendly and I guess it's a essential mod to give a playthrough to earn cred as a true master stalker.
Really just wasting time waiting for CoP Complete :)
