Still can't figure out how to reset my perks, so is there a way I can permanently delete KF from my Steam account and repurchase?

I want to start from scratch......

I did find out that all my achievements have been reset, but still not my perks....

Why do you want to reset your perks?

[from my experience] because you know how to play the classes/perks better and have more fun with them as you level up.

What the above poster said and:
-I wanna start over from scratch - haven't played in a lonnnggg time
-I got some of my perks dishonestly and now want to level them legitimately

You would go to the extreme of rebuying the game? I'm sure you tried deleting all local game content (un-installing) then re-installing?

That wouldn't do anything since the perks are stored online.

is search broken or what? how is it people would rather buy the game a second time, or tell others to delete things they know nothing about, than just click a link and type in a couple of words.

What are you talking about? I have searched extensively. The current perk reset command that is out there DOESN'T WORK.....

If you are that desperate, you should start anew. Create a new account, delete KF completely, buy KF again on steam, download it, and you will be a noob once again.

so no more ini fix? not like we would be able to test it without resetting our own perks. guess it must have been broken in their last maintenance patch, I notice other things like list joining games screwing up now too. either way I wouldn't resort to buying another copy, this got to be fixed with the upcoming major patch. just make sure you post about it at tw forums.

You guessed wrong; the question you meant (I think) to have answered was about you resetting your perks, instead, you question was if there was a way to repurchase KF, which there is. Just make a new account and buy it over to "repurchase."

theres an easy way....

CE, scan ur points, set them to 1 and level again...

Do that in Singleplayer!! Doing that in multiplayer mode WILL cause a ban!

If u wanna know what CE is PN me..

I'd rather not mess around with CE, can cause some serious problems

Even if it's runned in solo.

Only need a little bit of stuff still running and BOOM headshot! VAC ban!

If it matters any, being vac banned does not impair your killing floor game play.

Err Killing Floor is VAC protected. And since VAC bans are engine-based AFAIK, it would in fact ONLY impair his killing floor gameplay. Oh and Red Orchestra.

Why would I use CE on a Steam game? o_o Don't wanna risk it.

I just got the game from a friend. It seems that I can't play it unless it's under his account. How can I fix this?

unfortunately, you need to contact steam support, its not a game issue.

did he gift the game via steam, or did he give you the cd-rom/dvd version? if its the latter, then i think the game is registered to his account only.
